We are under a curse at Manchester United; David De gea cries out.

Following the recent shocking knock out in the FA cup 4th round by Middlesbrough, in a game which ended 7-8 on Penalties, with Middlesbrough advancing to the next round and the Full Time draw match against fellow EPL Competitors, Burnley, Manchester United's number one goalie 'David De gea, has cried out and believes the entire team and Club is under a curse.

EL PAIS  in a published report, quoted how the Keeper had this to say'

David de Gea: "I think someone has put a curse on us or something. The truth is I don't know what's going on, I really don't. People always ask me and we talk about it as team-mates and we just say 'we don't know what's happening'."

“We [Manchester United] should have competed for more trophies, bigger titles, but I just don’t know why this team doesn’t function.”

"Teams create a lot of chances against us. But that’s what I’m here for: trying to stop goals, help the team however I can and this year things are going well in that regard.”

When asked about Summer signing, Christiano Ronaldo, David de gea had this to say;

"Even just seeing him [Cristiano Ronaldo] walk through the door, gives you a desire to show you’re at his level. “He works so hard and is very demanding of himself. I think he’s a bit calmer than before, but he is a machine.”

Prior to this, Manchester United have now gone 5 years without a silverware. The last Tittle  won by the club was the 2015/16 UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE tittle, Won by José Mourinho during his Managerial spell with the Red Devils.

Following his sack, Man united have now gone trophy less in the last 5 years, despite coming so close in different domestic league games.

The Club having come so close to clinging the 2020/2021 Europa league title, had their chances taken away by Spanish league side, Villarreal, and since then, the club has struggled to maintain its top form..
The event of things would force the Manchester United board to terminate ex manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjær's contract with the club and would further go on to appoint German Coach 'Ralf Rangnick' as the  Club's Interim coach. But things have however not stabilised in the team as it continues to fall short of expectations.

Currently, Man united is still left with with a major league tournament, i.e The UCL round of 16 in which they face Atletico Madrid. Although, David de gea is bent on being optimistic as he's been  putting up mind blowing performances lately, feeling hopeful for better days ahead.

He's gone ahead to win the Premier League/ Manchester United player of the month of January. But nevertheless,  they're still in a struggling race to finish amongst the top 4 season finishers and everyone associated with the club would only hope they can, as they're completely out of the EPL title race, out of the FA and out of the Carabao Cup.

Could this be the end for the Red Devils? Will they still have the momentum to clinge the UCL tournament for themselves? Tell us what you think.
