In an earlier statement made my Liverpool's boss, Jorgen Klopp, prior to the #Afcon tournament, he termed #Afcon, a "small tournament" which didn't sit right with a whole lot of football fans and most especially, fans from the Continent of Africa. Although reacting to the outburst, Klopp had apologised and explained how he never meant it in the context in which fans believed it to be.

Football fans have now expressed shock and great disappointment at the on going Afcon tournament and a clear example could be seen in the chaotic Tunisia vs Mali game, in which the officiating referee lost himself and not only made strange calls, but had forgotten to stop his watch during the second-half water break, which was mandatory with temperatures in the mid-30s Celsius.
Fans believe, with the way things are turning out to be, a whole lot of football fans have seemed to lose interest in the ongoing tournament, with most, blaming the organisers of the event and the boring style of play from a couple of participating teams with disappointing Full time results... With most, believing this has however, validated Jorgen Klopp's initial statement in which he termed #Afcon, a small tournament.
